  2. Feed the Future is President Obama's global hunger and food security initiative. It is focused on reducing poverty and undernutrition while promoting broad-based economic growth through agricultural development.

Framing meeting at Purdue & convening of working group • Development of white paper from Purdue Meeting • Dissemination and discussion of research white paper • Global e-consultation • FTF Research Forum: Engaging the research community • Publication of Feeding 10 Billion: A dialogue between FTF and the international research community

  4. FTF is comprehensive, ambitious and challenging • 2050 projections: the challenge of 10 billion • Increase food production while protecting the environment: Sustainable Intensification • Food systems: from production to consumption • Whole of government effort • First 1000 days
