  4. MOVING TOWARDS ACCESSIBILITY The ADA requires all companies to make “reasonable accommodations” for the disabled. Modifications or adjustments to the Web site that enable an individual with a disability to perform the essential functions. Understanding the law

MOVING TOWARDS ACCESSIBILITY • Access instruction page (includes email hyperlink to communicate accessibility problems) • Provide support for text browsers (Jaws) • "Alt" tags for graphics and links • Provide links to applets, plugins, etc. on pages that have content that require them. • Caption audio and video clips. • Alternative mechanisms for on-line forms (such as email or voice/TTY phone numbers) Understanding the law
