The Menu Bar • Cascade Logo pull down • Most useful pull downs will be search and viewing active jobs
Using Search • *search box in the upper right performs basic search of site contents • If you have inherited the site and are not familiar with the site use the search feature to find pages or items such as word documents, PDFs and images. Department Name | Month X, 201X
Viewing Active Jobs • View the progress of pages, images, documents or the entire site • Your publishing job will be listed under Current Jobs and its publishing progress will be in the % done column Department Name | Month X, 201X
Home • Home tab will always bring you back to the default page
New • The New tab will allow you to add new pages/folders and files (images/PDFs/docs)
Where is my website? • SITEs pulldown vs. Health Affairs • Your site will be in one of these locations, you will only have viewing/editing rights to sites you admin. • Asset tree • Folders • Files • Images and PDFs
File naming best practice • Don’t use spaces or symbols • Use dashes between words • Use lowercase
The Folder • /_CMS/ folder • Do not make any changes to items in this folder • Power Users: *_CMS > ContentBlocks> left-nav • Any change here requires the full site to be republished to reflect these updates on all pages!
The Page • Default content area, region/blocks and metadata

Page Tabs • Edit, Move/Rename, Copy, Publish, More -> Delete, More -> Versions
Edit This is a standard editor with similar features found in MS Word. More details about using this editor can be found here: http://www.healthaffairs.uci.edu/training/wysiwyg-editor.asp Department Name | Month X, 201X
Move/Rename • Under System Name you can change the page name or move it to another location. To move the page to another location select Parent Folder and browse for new location Department Name | Month X, 201X
Copy • Copy page tab will allow you to duplicate a page. Change the copied page name and if needed select its new location under Parent Folder. Department Name | Month X, 201X
Publish • New users should always publish pages to the development server first. Preview the page and test all functions of that page. • Only then should the page be published to the production server. • *Development URLs are usually http://dev.surgery.uci.edu Department Name | Month X, 201X
