Early Planning Discuss the idea with the Section ExCom and get their approval Place a notice in the section’s newsletter announcing the PDS and request volunteers to join the Committee (6month. lead time) Form the PDS Committee Establish initial budget and financing Fill out a PDS project form and submit to the Section PACE Chair for approval

  7. PDS Committee Tasks Plan Meals and Social Hour Schedule Meeting Location Identify and Invite Speakers Organize Publicity Plan CEUs and PDHs Handle the Registration Budget and Records (Treasurer) Prepare Final Agenda and Prepare Handouts Arrange Speaker Transportation

  12. Implementation Make a final check for all details one day before the big day (Audio/ Video, handouts, etc…) Start meeting on time Follow the agenda Consider meals and social hour (important for networking) Don’t overrun the allocated time for Q&A Session Evaluation Forms: Get feedback

Financial Accounting & Final Report Treasurer to follow-up with speakers to get their expense reports Treasurer to ensure that all the local expenses are paid for The PDS committee should get together and prepare a final report and budget for submission to all funding sources Publish Lesson’s Learned
