Symposium • To inspire and educate community leaders • Successful kick-off event held on 10/17/06 • 180 attendees • Keynote speaker • Roxanne Qualls, former Cincinnati Mayor • National & local experts – planning, engineering, urban design, development • Presentations on EWGCOG website
Digital Guide • Web-based, visual reference tool • Place-based approach • Address a wide range of factors • Interactive, learning environment • Decision support • Applicable for diverse audience • leaders, staff, consultants, public
Workshop • February 14, 2007 • Technical planning/design assistance for community-led projects • Application of digital resource guide • Lead to selection of demonstration projects
Demonstration Projects • Four local projects receiving planning assistance using EWG and consultants • 36 applications • EWG may also provide funding assistance for project implementation through TIP process
Demonstration Projects • South Grand – inner city urban arterial • Labadie – small town rural main street • Manchester Road – suburban major arterial • Natural Bridge Road – suburban arterial
