  2. SNS Analysis • Need to be making better use of SNS data: • Provide examples of using small area stats data • Demonstrate the functionality of the site • Promote SNS • Want the analysis to be as useful to as many users as possible • Looking for areas of analysis that cut across departments

  3. Potential Areas for Analysis • Settlements: • Population of 7,500 ~ 10 data zones • Interest in settlements around the 10,000 population point • Focus on service provision

  4. Potential Areas for Analysis • Themed reports • Focus on one demographic or sub-section of the population • Analyse trends within that demographic • Similar in idea to ONS regional trends publication, but using smaller geographies

  6. User Group • Looking to set up a SNS user group for: • Feedback on enhancements prior to public release • User views on technical issues and potential developments • If interested email: Neighbourhood.Statistics@scotland.gsi.gov.uk

  7. Future Developments • User Accounts • Save user defined geographies • Save & generate unique URLs for reports • Manage downloads • Geographies • New coding system • General maintenance
