Thanks! • Enertech Geothermal • WaterFurnace International • Connor Company/ClimateMaster • EWC Controls, Inc. • Thermal Imaging Systems, Inc. • CETCO • Great Lakes Geothermal • Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO)
Why does GEO make sense? • It’s a no brainer. With incentives now, geothermal costs are competitive with conventional equipment. • Dealers can make more money and position themselves as GREEN and cutting edge.
Recent project example • $20,800 for geothermal • $13,900 for conventional (gas, cent. air) • $12,300 for high efficiency ASHP • Net incremental cost of geothermal after federal tax credit - $60 compared to conventional system, $16,600 compared to ASHP system. • Annual energy costs of geo were less than half - $800 vs. $2,200.
Leaders of GAOI • Jeff Hurst • Dave Buss • Ryan Kerry • Eleven others come from various parts of the state and represent engineers, contractors, drillers, manufacturers and utilities.
