  1. Multimedia PR Group Project • Add your name to one of the three lists on the board. • Sit with your new Group. • You will work with these students for most of the rest of the trimester. • If you have unfinished individual projects, you will need to finish those on your own time when you have time.

You are now an advertising firm. • You will create a complete public relations package for a new product that is going to market. • A business person with an idea for a new product will present information about their project and ask your advertising firm to create materials needed to advertise and make their product visible to the public.

  3. Your advertising firms will... • Your advertising firms will present a collection of materials to the creator and owner of the product to compete for their business. • As a group you will create and conduct a presentation in order to display your work to the owner of the product with the intention of convincing the owner to use your advertising agency to market the product.

  4. These items are required in addition to any items requested by the product owner. • your creative name for the new product • a creative logo that can represent that product in all packaging and ad material • a package prototype in which the product will be sold • a prototype of the product with your art and logos • a full page magazine ad to represent the product line • a prototype website that details the entire product line • a television commercial that highlights the product for a network audience • a design theme that is related to the concept of the product

  5. requirements Of course all of your presented materials should follow a common look and design scheme. Be creative and use whatever resources you can! We expect to see printed physical proofs of all paper materials. Professional presentations should be shown as polished projected slideshows. A projector and screen will be provided. You are expected to wear professional attire and be practiced and ready to present on the day our representative arrives.

  6. Today... • Brainstorm and come up with a name for your advertising firm. • Elect a President to lead your firm. This person will delegate work to other team members. • Decide who will be responsible for which elements of the project. • Collaborate to design a logo just for your advertising firm. You can use this graphic to promote your own firm to Mr. Wisehaar. • Start to design your logo for the product. Discuss how you will give all elements a consistent look.
