Put On Your Game Face My Strengths My Goals my goals as a performance art teacher is to teach students to use their highest potential. I want to find each student’s strengths as well as their weakness and encourage them to embrace it. For example a student is skilled graphic artist but is a shy performer. I would use this student’s ability to help decorate and design props or have them create the customs . • Although I know that I am not the best in everything, I am very comfortable and confident enough to try something once ( sing a song, perform a dance, draw a art work, recite a poem, etc). • I believe that I have strong team work skills, such as learning to collaborate and work together with others. Also, learning about peoples strengths and weaknesses and how to use their skills.
Steps That Will Help Me Achieve My Goal To achieve my goal the first thing I would have to do is to get to know my students and to build a positive relationship with each and everyone of them. I think that knowledge is endless. Therefore, I believe that it is important that I continue to learn more about the arts and how to embrace both modern and tradition teaching skills to create the best teaching approach for my students. I also feel that learning how to maintain team work will allow me to achieve my goals. For example, asking colleagues, professors, students, parents, and the community for more resources to use, for help when it is needed, and feedback on my teachings. I also that it is really important to get their support in what I want to do.
