His life • The son of a coppersmith, Antoni Gaudí • Gaudi was born on June 25, 1852 • He was taken to architect at a young age • He attended school in Barcelona • the city that would become home to most of his great works. • Gaudi wad part of the Catalan Modernist movement, eventually transcending it with his nature-based organic style • Gaudi died on June 10, 1926.
How he became a famous architect • Goudibegan studying architecture in the University of Barcelona • He also attended philosophy and aesthetics lectures. • He became influenced by Pau Mila I Frontals In Rome • Gaudi was also involved with the Spanish Modernisme movement, • He took an active part in the Renaixenca of Catalan language and poetry.
What happed to Gundi? • Gaudi was run over by a tram in Barcelona. But survived. • He let himself go somewhat in his later years, • there were very few photographic records of what he looked like, people thought he was a tramp and refused to bring him to the hospital. • He generally avoided journalists and Other things • He died when he was in his early-to-mid 70s
