Mission As a National Society and a leading humanitarian organization in Cambodia, the Cambodian Red Cross mobilized the power of humanity to continue assisting the most vulnerable people through the provision of disaster management, health and care in the community and promotion of Humanitarian Values of the Movement vsdfsdf Strategic Direction 3 Promote Fundamental Principles, Humanitarian Values, Human Dignity and a culture of non- violence. CRC cooperation in DM networks Regional Disaster Response Team (RDRT) • The regional Disaster Response Team (RDRT) is an International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent(Federation) support concept which aims at utilizing the Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) nation societies capacities to render cross-border support to sister societies particularly in terms of human resources. • CRC is a member of the South East Asia Regional Disaster Committee (RDMC) that was established in 2001 with the Federation Secretaries' Southeast Asia Regional Delegation, represented by the Community Safer Resilient Unit (CSRU), acting as the secretariat for the RDMC. 8/27/2013 6

CRC cooperation in DM networks At least 15 CRC and PRC staff joint the Specialized training such as DM/Health–VCA, Emergency Assessment, Logistics/Emergency Assessment, Admin/Finance &Warehouse stock controller, VCA, and now become the member of South East Asia Regional Disaster Response Team_SEA RDRT. 8/27/2013 7

Samdeach Kittipritthbindit BUN RANY HUN SEN recognized as National Champion for UNSG’s Joint Plan of Action for Women’s and Children’s Health The first lady Plays Key role in advocating health actors to provide better services to mother and children and in raising awareness of women in health care. 9. What is (ART) ? • The Asian Red Cross and Red Crescent HIV/AIDS Network (ART) was established in 1994 as a task force to motivate National Societies (NS) across Asia to actively engage in HIV programming. • It succeeded in building capacity for HIV programming among NS across the region, resulting in better planning, stronger linkages between NS programs and national HIV strategic plans. • Formally renamed as a network in 2003, this can be largely attributed to the allegiance of the ART members themselves, together with the ongoing support of the Federation and PNS. 8/27/2013 9

ART Achievements • ART Member Representative from CRC have been elected as ART Chair in late 2011 and ART Secretariat also recruited to be function in with ART Chair in 2012 to assist the ART Secretariat and work collaboration with the ART Network. CRC has contribute 1000 USD every year as a member. • Promoting attendance to international/ regional conference through empowering members we have built capacity of National RCRC HIV programs. 8/27/2013 10

11. Asia-Pacific CBHFA workshop • Through the implementing the community Based Health and First Aid (CBHFA) Project funded by the Finnish Red Cross since 2010. Cambodian Red Cross was organizing the sharing experience and lesson leant regional workshop that 40 delegates from 16 national societies in the Asia Pacific Region, participant in The Asia-Pacific Sharing experiences & lesson learnt workshop. 8/27/2013 11

12. lesson learnt from the project implementation include: • Building the capacity to staff, RCVs and RCY. • Active involvement of community in project development. • Changing of community behavior in daily life through activities of RCVs and RCY. • Adapting printed materials and tools such as diseases and health manuals to the local context (concise, simple and easy to understand). • Providing incentive to RCVs such as T-shirt, caps and water bottle. 8/27/2013 12

13. 4. CRC Restoring Family Link network The RFL global challenge has required from the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement another regional meeting. A joint regional meeting was organized in KL, Malaysia in December 2012, from the Asia-Pacific &ICRC representative. Key topics for discussion include: - Review tools and resource for RFL responses in Disasters; - RFL services in Disasters: the set up of structure within each NS and cooperation between ICRC and the Federation; - RFL services in the context of relevant stakeholders and coordination process amongst those stakeholders 8/27/2013 13

14. 5. CRC cooperation in Youth and OD network Southeast Asia Youth Network (SEAYN) Cambodian Red Cross was designated to be the first Chair of the SEAYN. Based on the discussion/agreed of the participants on the 1st SEA OD & Youth Forum hosted in KL, Malaysia in May 2013, 8/27/2013 14

CRC cooperation in Youth and OD network • The SEAYN network consists of 22 members, NS Youth Staff and NS Youth Leaders nominated by 11 National Societies: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, and it should be led by a Coordination Team and Supported by the Federation Regional Office. • Malaysia Red Cross has been selected to be The chair man for the Southeast Asia Organizational Development Network (SEAOD Network) were voted by all 11 National Societies in Southeast Asia and CRC also a member in SEA OD network. • CRC also the member of APFN(Asia Pacific Fundraiser’s Network and has contributed 500 USD every year. 8/27/2013 15

16. • Secretary General and CRC leader has participated in annually Meeting, and the national society in Region were rotated to lead the meeting and last year the meeting were conducted in Beijing, China. • Tripartite cooperation Cambodia Lao and Vietnam, has conducted the meeting every two year and last year were conduct in lao. • CRC and Red Cross Society of China is strengthened by the Cooperation Agreement signed in 2002, renewed in 2006 and 2011. 8/27/2013 16
