Say it Like You Mean It! A thesis is stating your idea as fact. It is the “hash tag” for your whole paper. In order to write an effective thesis: You must believe in your ideas. You must be brave and courageous. You must not be afraid to take risks. You must believe your voice matters.
Good Theses…. State your point as a fact. State your claim and give reasons why. Direct the rest of your paper. Good Thesis: “The most important symbol in The Hunger Games is the “silent salute” because it represents the quiet yet strong longing and hope among the people for a leader who cares for others.”
