Tsunami Facts: • Tsunamis are huge water that are usually caused by earthquakes or volcanic eruptions. • Tsunamis are sometimes referred to as tidal waves but this term has fallen out of favor because tsunamis are not related to tides.
Causes of a Tsunami • One fact is that a tsunami is made from a earthquake. • Another fact is that it could be from a volcanic eruption. • A third cause is meteorite impact hitting the ground.
Changes to the Earth • The changes to earth is that it could causes erosion and flooding.
Damage • The damage cost 6000 dollars. • It killed 6000000 people. • The damage was to the houses. • And to people.
Tsunami 1960 Chile • The wave was 8.6 and the face was 33km steep. • The wave went 124 miles. • The wave travel all the way to hole and Hawaii. • The wave killed 600000. • And the wave was 82 feet wide.
