  10. Saving Money at the Pump • Since 2002 our Hybrid Fleet has: • Driven 7,016,575 Miles • Offset 124,739 Gallons of Gasoline (currently saving over 27,000 gallons annually) • Reduced GHG Emissions by 1,372 tons • Saved $311,848 in Fuel Costs

  13. Clean Commute Program We’re making cleaner commutes easier - and more fun - for our 9,000 employees. THE GOAL: No One Drives Alone SHORT TERM: 20% reduction by 2017 THE STEPS: Employee Outreach Provide Resources Provide Access

Clean Commute Solutions • Strategies: • Provide simple process to receive pre-tax benefits • Launch Zimride: Educate and incentivize commuting alternatives online and with fairs, activities and competitions • Establish pay parking lots County-wide and FREE parking for carpools • Establish discounts for employees with car share and rental companies

  15. County Shuttle Services • Benefits: • Promotes public transportation • Reduces parking congestion • Improved Employee Safety • Grant Funding: • Received $280,000 to operate shuttle bus in San Leandro
