  5. EDUCE The EDUCE project is developing a hardware and software system for the virtual unwrapping and visualization of ancient texts. The overall purpose is to capture in digital form fragile 3D texts using a custom built, portable, multi-power CT scanning device and then to virtually "unroll" the scroll. Dr. Brent Seales

Vis Center The Center for Visualization and Virtual Environments Visualizing the Energy and Public Health Relationship The study, "Relations between Health Indicators and Residential Proximity to Coal Mining in West Virginia," found that in the 14 counties where the biggest coal mining operations are located residents reported higher rates of cardiopulmonary disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension, diabetes, and lung and kidney disease.
