  2. Setting Characters • Jasmine’s house • Something I noticed about the setting was it reminded me of my birthday party. • Jasmine • Maya • Bryan • Mom • Jasmine is a good friend.

  3. Jasmine • Jasmine is nice because she had a birthday party for Maya. Jasmine made blue cake, blue salad, and blue sandwiches. Jasmine was happy when she first puts blue food coloring in the sandwiches, but then she was sad because she didn’t think they would like it. Jasmine is friendly when she has a birthday party for Maya. Bryan is helpful when he eats sandwiches, salad, and milk.

  4. Author’s Message • The problem in the Blue Birthday was Jasmine put food coloring in the sandwiches, milk, and salad. Bryan eats the sandwich, milk and salad. Jasmine learned to not put food coloring in sandwiches. I learned to not put food coloring in sandwiches, milk and salad.
