Work on M1 LV during week 24 • Installed crate for the 4 Maraton AC/DC converter and the crate for the 4 RCM in rack B1A01 • Connected the AC/DC converters and RCM crate to 220VAC and switched ON successfully • Installed the 4 Maraton to supply both FEE and ODE/SB crates in both access (T0A11) and cryo (T0A01) racks and connected to water cooling pipes • Tested successfully the individual LV lines (2.5V, 3.3V, 5.0V) on ODE/SB crates (without electronics) • Connected RCM to ethernet, and preliminary test with Michela to verify communication • On Friday Michela included successfully the M1 LV Power Supplies Control on the Muon PVSS project – this is the FIRST part of M1 included in the Muon control system !!! What’s next on ODE side • Install ELMB boards on 12 ODE • Upgrade ODE firmware • Prepare and install CAN patch-cord from ODE to CAN Patch Panel in T0 and from PP to SYSTEC in the barrack • ODE-related work in T0 should be completed by Paolo by week 27 (4/7)!!! • Complete optical fibre installation in T0 and connection to Tell1 and Trigger in D3 • Communication (Bitr Error Rate) tests Alessandro
Whats next on SB side • DCS cable connectorization is proceeding – 2 Rome1 technicians at work up to ~11 July. 5/36 SB • Cable testing after connectorization will not be done now • 4+4 CAN bus patch cord from PDM to PP to be installed in T0, probably next week • Some preliminary SB test involving (local) CANbus communication will probably be performed next week by Valerio Alessandro
M1 Software needs • Some GEM + MWPC chambers will be installed before July 11th, and they will likely be in condition to operate • We need that people involved in ECS start thinking on how to include M1 in the Muon PVSS Project: still a lot of work to be done on: • FEE control • HV control • ...
