  6. Education • The nearest school is five miles away • Many masia children only get to school at the age of ten or eleven • Girls have to do chores before going to school • Boys are given first priority for books and uniform

  7. Ed Colina Foundation- Supported Early Childhood Schools • This foundation supports three early childhood schools and feeding programs • Two more preschools supported by the foundations and are now independent

  8. Our Goal • Begin a new school and food program for the masia community • Girls and boys can go to the school • All children will be able to get an education • Provide a good lunch and clean drinking water
