Human Resources Department Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) • In-house Temporary Staffing Agency • Experienced in recruiting and placing temporary employees with Riverside County departments and various contract cities • Access to a variety of resources: • Interviewers • Skills assessments • LiveScan • Pre-employment physicals/drug screens • Orientation • Marketing to customers and potential employment sites
TAP Recruiters • Receive referrals and job orders • Conduct pre-employment assessment and screening • Match candidates to job orders • TAP (unsubsidized temporary employment) • STEP • Communicate with GAIN staff and employers • Receive time sheets and progress updates • Monitor success of placement
TAP: The Employer • Promotes STEP within the County • Contracts with outside employers • Performs all payroll functions • Monitors six-month STEP time frame • Collects and maintains data on referrals, job orders, and placements • Provides payroll data to DPSS • TAP supervisor monitors employment, resolves issues
