  2. Dispatch • Engine 2, Ladder 2 and Rescue 1 are dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at Colony Rd north of the intersection of North Street. Mytown

  3. Potential • Station 1 and Station 2 are located such that their response path will cause them to meet at the intersection of Center Street and Colony Rd. 3 blocks South of the call. Station 1 Station 2

  4. The Intersection • As Engine 2 approaches the intersection, the Company Officer radios to Rescue 1; “Engine 2 and Ladder 2 are one block West of Colony on Center”.

  5. The Intersection • Communicate • Secure and Hold

  6. Next Challenge • As the units approach the intersection of Colony and North the light is red. Engine 2 in the lead, stops before entering the intersection then clears each lane as he approaches the center.

  7. Next Challenge • Once in the center of the intersection, Eng 2 C.O. radios, “Eng 2 has the intersection, all traffic holding, proceed through.” and Ladder 2 and Rescue 1 proceed to the call. All arrived safely. EVERYONE GOES HOME!
