  3. .INFO Top Level Domain • .INFO – first new completely unrestricted TLD after .COM • Recognizing/leveraging a new space • Attracted wide variety of registrants- • Countries, charities, businesses, individual users, leisure industry • Example: great country fit – spain.info • Helped expand online communities: • Bloggers, directory services • Example: alac.info

New Developments • Faster Standard for DNS • Registration to resolution in <2 minutes globally • E-num technology test- Convergence of telephone and DNS industry • Internationalized Domain names:Afilias will enable local character sets in .INFO, e.g. www.österiche.info • Initial launch for German script umlaut characters ä, ö, ü
