  4. Annual Study Program SOW • New Annual Study Program Scope of Work document posted on meeting website • Replace existing Study Program Procedures and associated Exceptions List • Status?

  5. Annual Survey • Annual Survey was sent out Dec. 12th • Responses due by Jan. 8th • Received responses from 7 entities • Additional disturbances were provided by other means

  6. Annual Study Program Results Log • Review draft log posted on meeting website • Standard Disturbance List • Are proposed disturbances seasonal issues?

BaseCase Compilation Schedule • Current study area in the rotation is California (between Path 15 and West of Colorado River) • Received 2 requests for scenario cases in this area • Significant feedback in support of the format from the 2014 schedule • Use one scenario case for the off-cycle 10-year planning case • Suggestion to reserve one spot for a model validation case in support of MOD-033

  8. Light Load Assumptions • TSS requested that we provide a better description for light load conditions in the basecases.

  9. Light Load Assumptions * Curves were compiled from WECC RC data. Plotted value is net generation. Gross generation would be approximately 5% higher.

Light Load Assumptions • Western Interconnection load in the 13LS1 basecase: • 108,645 MW • Western Interconnection load in the 13LW2 / 14LW1 basecases: • 102,931 MW / 103,632 MW • Request was received for a set of three summer cases: • Heavy Summer (170 GW) • Light Summer (90 GW) – represents loading between 2am and 4am • Intermediate Summer (115 – 120 GW)

  11. Light Load Assumptions • Suggestions • Choose some percentile on the Load Duration Curve to represent • 2am to 4am load on actual peak day for season being represented • Scale by forecasted load growth
