Overview and Approval Items • General SRWG Topics • Study Program Subgroup • 2013 Study Program Annual Report Study Plan • Rev 3 of Study Program Procedures • Exceptions List • Compliance Subgroup • Bus number requests • DPM update for Relays
Base Case Status • One month behind schedule • 18-19HW2 will be first case in PSSE 33.4 • No dynamics data conversion yet • New Slack bus proposal • Existing slack will be retired • Recommendation for 24HW1 is Coulee 40296 • Evaluate 24HW1 for continued use
2013 Study Program Annual Report Study Plan • Follow study plan used in 2012 • Recommendation of base cases • Remaining 2012 base cases • 2013 base case through 19HS2 • Scenario case for CO/UT/N NV not available • Disturbances from survey response • 4 Cat-D disturbances from PG&E • 7 Cat-B,C,&D disturbances from PSCoarea
Study Program Procedures • Redrafted Section II: Annual Study Program • General clean-up, eliminate redundancy • How do we select disturbances • How do we select base cases • Performance and representation logs • Disturbance-Performance Exceptions • Created separate document to reference • 1) Disturbances declared non-credible, 2) Performance level adjustment, 3) Less Stringent performance criteria
2012 Annual Study Report Recommendations • Examine data for models of specific gens • Nine identified • All have been examined and are in process • Colstrip ATR should be commented out of MDF
Representation Log • New process started with 14HSP1 • Replog posted with each Review case • Review 14HSP1 • Approved using new data tracking process • Identify “possible” data errors • Intended to improve model, not track compliance
Bus Number Requests • Reserved bus ranges for internal use • Should use 6 digit numbers going forward • New range allocated to VEA
DPM Revisions for Relay Modeling • “Line and Transformer Protection • Include line and transformer three-phase relay models where TSS approved models are available. Typical relay data based on facilities of similar design and characteristics may be used to represent planned facilities. • When additional relay models have been approved by TSS, SRWG will determine appropriate implementation schedules for the necessary data required by the newly approved models” • Note: If the revision is approved, the DPM effective date would be November 2013. The 20HW1 case would be the first case that the line and transformer overcurrent three-phase relay data would be required. The tentative approval date is May 2014.
