visit by Kelly+Emily ?. Dec 1993? These are probably the same year, since they both have gulab jamuns and spiced pears, and the one on the right looks like a first draft rather than a menu. W e had gulab jamuns for a few years after Lu visited India, so I’m guessing 1993. Dec 1994 ?

Dec 1993? These are probably the same year, since they both have gulabjamuns and spiced pears, and the one on the right looks like a first draft rather than a menu. We had gulabjamuns for a few years after Lu visited India, so I’m guessing 1993.
Dec 1994? There is what looks like a New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day menu for Saturday. This means it might be December 1993, 94, 99, 2004 or 05. Of these dates, 1999, 2004 and 2005 are all spoken for, so it’s either 1993 or 94. When did we start doing sushi? That might help date this menu.
Dec 1997? Some of the dishes (tapenade, mushroom soup, bombe) sound like my French phase, which was during my PhD, 1996—99, of which 1998—99 are taken. (Mummy wrote 1999, but this isn’t the millennium menu, so it can’t be 1999.) It might possibly be 2000—2003.
Dec 1998 The fish is on Thursday, the turkey stuffed on Thursday and cooked on Friday. Therefore Christmas day was a Friday. Therefore this is 1992, 1998 or 2009. We know the menu for 2009, and 1992 is too early. What does “shed” refer to I wonder?
Dec 1999 Millennium Eye menu
Dec 2003? Could be 2000—2003. Some of my recipes (apple sorbet, tagliatelle) are what I was keen on in Trinity years. I think Kelly and/or Emily visited one Christmas and made passionfruit mousse: is this theirs?
Dec 2004 Mummy’s attribution. Also, the rice pudding cake is the Safranpankake I brought back from my 2004 visit to Sweden.
Dec 2005 as per email date. With Debra.
Dec 2006? This has a bruschetta recipe that I developed, I think late Trinity or early London time. The overall menu is puritanical Damon, which suggests post 2005. 2008 onwards are all accounted for.
