History • The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas • Opened for registration on October 2, 1876 • Continued expansion in areas of study and cadet population resulted in the renaming of college to University in 1963 • Gender integration in 1964, voluntary Corps membership for males in 1965, and female Corps admittance in 1973

  4. Present Day • Texas A&M University, 2010 • Cadet population sits at approximately 1800 • Military contract to non-contract ratio is near 1:1 • Yearly increase in minority demographics • Members constitute approximately 4.5% of the entire University's undergraduate population • Leadership Certificate program development
