Senator Collins – “The Accountability in Government Contracting Act” • Addresses the de facto outsourcing of program management responsibilities when a large contractor becomes the lead systems integrator. • Create acquisition internship programs • Competition required for all task or delivery orders of more than $100k • Extend IG subpoena power to include electronic documents
Senator Leahy – “War Profiteering Prevention Act of 2007” • Prohibits war profiteering and fraud relating to military action, relief, and reconstruction efforts • Sets fines at the greater of $1 million or twice the gross profits or other proceeds
Senator Sessions – Contractor Blacklisting • Continuing efforts to attach a contractor fraud “Blacklisting” provision to various bills in the Senate, such as the Minimum Wage Bill or the Immigrations Bill.
