KCF Europe • Non-profit organization with HQ in Brussels/Diegem • Announced in June 2011 by Garry Kasparov (Chairman) and Jan Callewaert (President) • Reaching out to children and youngsters between 6 – 18 years

KCF Europe • Provide tools to schools to teach chess, with strong focus on new technology • Organise and support chess events towards children/youngsters • Work with the EU and local governments to promote chess and to make it part of the educational system • Research and provide information about the educational benefits of chess

Chess Teaching Platform • Providing full chess curriculum/education for three-year program designed for ages 7-9 • Web-based training software compatible with all popular platforms (Windows OS, Android OS, iOS) for teachers and students, both for on-site and distance learning • Teacher trainers and chess experts on location and via remote assistance • Lessons, workbooks and instruction manuals for students and teachers (if needed) • Coordination of classes and ongoing feedback possible via the Internet
Great training – Great teachers – Great chess • The teaching materials are prepared by leading chess training specialists • Detailed statistics are automatically gathered on the progress of each student, group and class • The software can be localized in any language
Chess for EducationGuiding Principles • Focus on children between 7 – 9 years ; • Focus on European region, with step-by-step approach ; • Program adapted to needs of countries and/or educational system ; • Use of new technologies to facilitate training and increase reach & ease of deployment (28 countries, 24 languages ); • Quality of program implementation prevails over quantity ; • Main focus is on the “educational value” of chess.
ChessTeaching Platform has been introducedor in finaltesting in Estonia, Moldavia, Poland, Georgia and Greece.Withmore countries to come in the coming months.
