Formation of Comparative Adjectives (i) For most adjectives of 1 or 2 syllables, add ‘er’ Examples: lighter, warmer, quieter, cleverer
(ii) For adjectives of 1 or 2 syllables ending in ‘e’, add ‘r’ Examples: larger, wider, later, nicer
