DC First Response Geo-Spatial Data Network (DCFRGSDN) A geospatial data service that can integrate strategic DC city information with remotely sensed data, National/Local government agency generated data as well as local user generated data, with the capability to rapidly export and display for the purpose of adding the response of DC First Response Units for any situation.

DCFRGSDN Strategic Level • Provide all necessary Data for: • DC Threat Level monitoring • Natural Hazards Support System • Multi-Agency Coordination • Strategic Resource Management Tactical Level • Provide all necessary Data for: • Incident reporting and monitoring • Rapidly assessing availability and capability of First Response Units /Resources • Assist in the ability to assigning individual units /resources • Coordinate response with various agencies / individual units

Data Publishing: OGC Compliant Services • Publish the following services to support first responders and their agencies. • Metadata Catalog Service: • To discover, browse, and query metadata about data, services, and other potential resources. • OpenGIS Location Service (OpenLS): • To support mobile devices through the mobile network and utilizing the ability to make use of the geographical position of the mobile device. • Keyhole Markup Language (KML): Google Map and Google Earth • Web Map Service (WMS) & Web Feature Service (WFS) • To support any client application (ArcMap, Web Based Application, and etc.) that can consume WMS & WFS. • Other bigger GIS system can consume OGC compliant services.

  21. Conclusion Standardizing sources from many providers. Front analysis and pre-process of the data. Massive amount of data  massive amount of users through multiple types of platform. Need to consider bandwidth issues  Dedicated carrier service Dedicated GIS team to support extra help upon request.
