Lessons Learned • Highest utilizers of HIOs – office staff, medical records staff, nurse practitioners • Social workers in the ED, using HIE, are making a real impact • Real cost savings seen in the administrative processes – referrals, prior authorization • Integration/Interoperability – hard • Consent – a bear www.nj.gov/njhit
