Highlight of Current Activities (1) • Creation of u-Health PG in TTA (’07. 12) • ToR: Service Platform, Communication Protocol, Device Interface and Application Standardization Research • Comprised of three Work Groups • Work Group 1: Device Interface • Work Group 2: Service Model • Work Group 3: Information Security • Other domestic “Ubiquitous Health (u-Health)” related organization • Domestic Health Informatics Committee (ISO/TC215) • u-Health Forum (est. ’07. 12) • Wireless Health Informatics Forum • Korean Society of Medical Informatics • HL7 Korea (Health Level 7)
Highlight of Current Activities (2) • Status of the u-Health Project Group • Members are comprised of technology developers, clinical users and vendors (as of Jun 2008) • First meeting held on Feb 2008 and had three meetings to develop ToR, WGs and Directions • Standards in development process • Technical Privacy and Security Requirements for Electronic Health Records of u-Health Environments • u-Healthcare Service Application Framework • API specification for u-Health Mobile Device Interface • Data Exchange Protocol for Independent Living Activity Hub
Strategic Direction • Standardization Stage (2008~2009) • Standardization priority to be decided based on requirements from domestic industries • International promotion of TTA Standards • Integration of u-IT into the fields of health and well-being • u-Services for health and well-being to be provided using ICT technologies such as RFID, USN, mobile services
