What is Fire Ecology? Fire Ecology looks at fire and how it effects the plants, animals, and ecosystem. Fire is an important and natural part of nature. Sometimes we set small fires known as prescribed burns to prevent big forest fires from happening later. That’s been done on part of this trail.
