THS Trainers • Anjanette Butts • Daniel Young • If an athlete goes to a personal doctor, he can not play until he returns with a doctors note. • Trainers can only treat injuries that occur in school activities (not club).

Tryouts Information • Nov 28 – Dec 1 • 2:45 – 5:00 • 3 Teams of about 20 • Spots available for managers • Need Cleats, Shin guards and White T-Shirt
Tryout Criteria • Must have Physical and Consent to Treat Card on file with Trainers • Objective and Subjective Evaluations • Athletic Ability • Technical Ability • Tactical Knowledge • Position • Psychological/Attitude • Grades, School Behavior
Paperwork • Physical Packet including notarized Consent to Treat Card (All Yellow Pages) • Birth Certificate • Bonafide Residence Form • Utility Bill • $50.00 User Fee
Holiday Commitments • Saturdays • Winter Break • Professional Development Days • MLK Day • Spring Break • Easter Break
UIL Eligibilitywww.uil.utexas.edu • Live in THS Attendance Zone • Can not be older than 19 by Sep. 1 • 4 consecutive years only • No more than 10 UIL absences per student for ALL activities per year • Athletes can not be paid to work at camps • Academic Eligibility – Passing all classes
Rules and Regulation • All Athletic areas are extensions of the classroom and athletes are expected to exhibit exemplary behavior at all times • Bus • Field • Locker Room • Pre and Post Game • Etc… • Misbehavior will result in consequences ranging from conditioning to suspension to expulsion
Game BehaviorPlayers and Parents • Respect Officials • No contact between players and stands until game has expired and post game talk is concluded • Please wait 24 hours after a game or practice to communicate any concerns with a coach (phone call, not email) • Cards Accumulate through the season • JV Players = Ball Runners at Home Games (or younger siblings)
Travel • All Players are required to ride the bus to ALL team games • Parents must sign and personally hand a travel release form to the designated coach for athletes to leave the stadium. • Parents must download the form from www.katyisd.org and bring it to the game.

Equipment • All athletes are responsible for paying for any lost or damaged equipment • Must have height specific shin guards with NOCSAE tag/stamp
Letter Jacket Criteria • Originally selected as a member of the Varsity squad • Academically eligible to participate in all competitions • Can not miss a competition due to ISS or other school punishment • Completes the season in good standing • NEW – Player Pays
