Need to Know: Congress Quiz • Members: Reqs for each chamber, terms • Congressional Elections: Who wins, Incumbency advantages (know a handful of incumbency advantages) • Organization of Congress: Bicameralism, House vs. Senate Powers, Leadership, Committees/Subcommittees (oversight, description, seniority system), Caucuses, Staff • Congressional Process: BillLaw, Who influences Congress (party, ideology, constituents, lobbyists, etc.) AND How, Amendment Process, Basic activities of Congress, Iron Triangles • Powers of Congress: Enumerated, Implied, Institutional, Inherent, Those powers that are denied to Congress, Informal, • Vocabulary • Gerrymandering: cases, reapportionment, cracking, packing • All previous material is fair game!!!!
