  2. Introduction The wisdom and spirit of any folk reveals itself in his(its) proverbs and sayings, but the knowledge of proverbs and sayings of this or that folk promotes not only better knowledge of the language, but also better understanding of the thoughts and nature of a folk.

  3. The proposed work aims to give the systematic study and description structured-semantic types of such proverbs in the compared languages. Thegiven purpose defines the decision of the following tasks: 1. The characteristics of the principal proverbs and sayings which have their origin from the names of different animals according to nature of the object in the English and Chuvash languages. 2. The determination of likeness and difference of the semantic structure these proverbs and sayings in the compared languages.

  4. : • The objects of this study are proverbs and sayings, connected with names of animal in the English and Chuvash languages. • The subject of the study is the comparison of these proverbs and sayings in two languages. • according to their lexical importance

  5. The methods of the study: comparative analysis of the theoretical literature, observation, description. The given purpose defines the decision of the following tasks: 1. The characteristics of the principal proverbs and sayings which have their origin from the names of different animals according to nature of the object in the English and Chuvash languages. 2. The determination of likeness and difference of the semantic structure of these proverbs and sayings in the compared languages

  6. The categorization of the proverbs and sayings in the English and the Chuvash languages according to the nature of the object. Proverbs and sayings are wide-spread in all centuries and they are very long living genres of spoken public creative activity. According to the definition given by V. I. Dal, a "proverb is a short parable, judgment, condemnation, voiced by chance and put in revolution, under a stamp of the nationalities.” While studying the nature of the object of proverbs and sayings in the English and Chuvash languages, it is possible to pick out the following of their origin:

  9. Conclusion. 1. From the studied proverbs and sayings the proverbs and sayings, connected with the names of the domestic animals dominate in the English the Russian and in the Chuvash languages . 2. The resemblance of the semantics of the proverbs and sayings in the English and in the Chuvash languages is connected with the transferring of their alike meanings into the Russian language.
