  1. Senior English 1/6/14 • Write about the best and the worst of your break. • How can you jump off a fifty-foot ladder and not get hurt? • Saponify – to convert into soap. Goals - Discuss future goals for this class and life. Plans for the SSP, Pizza Slice Fundraiser. Dashing Denny. Homework – Write me a note about what you would like to see happen between now and the end of the year. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary quiz #16 on Friday.

Senior English 1/7/14 • Write on a subject of your choice. • What did the painter say to his girlfriend? • Ylem – the primordial stuff from which the various elements of matter were formed – neutrons, protons, etc. Goals - Senior Service Project organization. Finish discussing good habits of mind. Begin analysis of BNW. Homework – Pull five quotes from BNW chapters 1-3 and analyze them. Make sure to include at least one from each chapter. This will be worth points tomorrow.

  3. Senior English 1/8/14 • Write about your analysis of the first three chapters. What possible theme would you like to explore? • What five letter word has 6 left when you take two letters away? • Lentiginous – heavily freckled. Goals – Learn what to do with the quotes and your analysis. Discuss the first three chapters. What from the articles you read relates to the quotes you have chosen? Homework – Pull five quotes from BNW chapters 4-6 and analyze them. Make sure to include at least one quote from each chapter. Check Shmoop for focus. This will be worth points tomorrow.

Is there a connection to any of the articles? • What is the difference between here and there? • Plook – the Scottish word for a nasty pimple or boil. Goals – Discuss chapter 4-6. What from the articles you read relates to the quotes you have chosen? Does any of the non fiction match your focus? Homework – Pull five quotes from BNW chapters 7-9 and analyze them. Make sure to include at least one quote from each chapter.Check Shmoop for focus. This will be worth points tomorrow.

What from the articles you read relates to the quotes you have chosen? Does any of it support your focus? Do you need to find an article? Homework – Pull five quotes from BNW chapters 9-12 and analyze them. Make sure to include at least one quote from each chapter. Check Shmoop for focus. This will be worth points Monday.
