  3. LAKE OF CINGOLI: Location The artificial Lake of Cingoli , named of “Castriccioni” ,was created by a dam on the river Musone , in the eighties.   4. LAKE: Size Picture n: 3 Second bridge The lake has got an area of 240 ha and a depth of 70 m, lies among the hills forming three branches. Thereare three bridges that cross the lake. The lake is bordered down by a stream coming from a dam 67 meters high and with two conduits.

  6. PLANT LOCATION Castreccioni ’s hydroelectric power plant was built in 2005. It is located downstream of the dam, on the conduit of the release of water runoff to the river Musone. The plant has an power of 160 kW and generates about 700 thousand kWh/year. Picture n: 7 the conduit of the release of water

  8. DRIVING QUESTION The Castreccioni dam: generating Energy from water in the province of Macerata. In the province of Macerata, the Castreccioni's plant produces 700 thousand kWh/ year of energy from the water for 350 families and for public lighting in several near countries. The lake changed its microclimate of Cingoli, that caused a gradual negative impact on the area and the increased production of fog in winter and autumn.
