Man’s Perspective Sin is passed down, thus man is born in sin. Romans 5:12-17 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: According to the Scripture the Jehovah Witness teach that sinned passed to all men because of Adam's’ sin. When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, his sin separated him from God. Now all of his descendants inherited the curse of sin and death (Romans 5:12-17). As a result every human being is born a sinner, not because of any wrong they've done but because of Adam's decision. It is therefore necessary to become saved. God’s Perspective What does the verse actually say passed on to all mankind? Sin or death? Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Let’s go back to the beginning. Gen. 3:22-24 22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. THEY SAY BAPTISM IS NOT NECESSARY FOR SALVATION WE SAY THE BIBLE TEACHES IT IS NECESSARY FOR SALVATION
How to be saved The world at large teaches this Just accept Jesus as your personal savior and you will be saved. They believe that one can be saved before baptism. They believe the baptism is symbolic of a soul already saved. You must repent Confess the name of Jesus B S B In fact: Taken of a Baptist website In his sermon at Pentecost, Peter urged those who had repented and believed in Christ to be baptized, not that baptism was necessary for salvation but as a testimony that they had been saved (Acts 2:1-41). Thus, baptism is symbolic and not sacramental. Baptists believe that the Bible teaches that baptism symbolizes that a person has been saved and is not a means of salvation. Baptism is not a means of channeling saving grace but rather is a way of testifying that saving grace has been experienced. It does not wash away sin but symbolizes the forgiveness of sin through faith in Christ. While baptism is not essential for salvation, it is a very important requirement for obedience to the Lord. Christ commanded his disciples to baptize (Matthew 28:19) and therefore baptism is a form of obedience to Jesus as Lord. Baptism is one way that a person declares, “Jesus is Lord.”
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. The conjunction and makes both equally necessary for the desired outcome. Having only one will not work. In this verse does salvation come before baptism or after? B B S Whoever cleans and cooks his chicken can eat it. But whoever does not clean his chicken will die. Whoever uses water and soap will have clean clothes. But whoever uses water only will have dirty clothes. The conjunction and makes both equally necessary for the desired outcome. Having only one will not work.
What is the purpose of Baptism? Acts 22:16 Acts 2:38 I Peter 3:21 16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Question to you, If baptism removes the sin away, how can one be saved before the sin is removed? If you believe you are saved before baptism, you have been taught wrong. YOU CANNOT BE TAUGHT WRONG AND SAVED RIGHT. If you have believed wrong, you soul still stands in a state of being lost.
