  11. Why do it this way? • Smooth transition from Primary experience. • Real opportunity to develop skills for life. These transfer into skills required for Senior Phase. • Evidence points to young people learning in ways that are more lasting and transferable. • Project themes selected are already meaningful to pupils so greater opportunity for experiencing success

What the pupils are telling us “Like being with different friends.” “Like having a chance to access the community.” “Learning about going away – packing” “Working with S1 doing a performance” “Like being treated differently” “Like different activities and going outside of school.” “Like being given a leadership role.” “Like to look after things.” Asked if they think it should continue? No-one wants to go back to classrooms all day. Asked if they knew what was being learned? Like looking at photographs about what we have done.
