  2. Context of 2 Corinthians 3 • 2 Corinthians written to dispel doubts put into their minds by false Judaizing teachers 13:3 • They slandered Paul 11:1-22, 10:10 • They sent letters of recommendation for each other 10:12-18, 3:1-3 • Paul alludes to this in the first three verses of chapter 3

  6. Looking to Jesus • 3:16 • Turning to the Lord results in unveiling • Literally the meaning of “revelation” • 3:17-18 • Explained by 4:1-6 • The process of change reveals God’s power and glory more than the law, more than any human letter of recommendation

  7. Lessons • Just as Moses looked to the Lord • We must look to Jesus spiritually • Just as Moses reflected God’s glory • We must reflect the glory of Christ • Moses’ appearance was changed • Our lives must be changed

  8. Let God Change Your Life • Look to Jesus, receive His word • Believe in Him 2 Cor. 4:3-6 • Let the love of God motivate you to change your mindRomans 2:4 • Make a commitment to change your life • This commitment is repentance • A change of conduct will be the result of a change of mind

Let God Change Your Life • Change your loyalty and show your faith by confessing Jesus as LordRomans 10:9-10 • Act in harmony with your declaration of Jesus’ total authority Matthew 28:18 • Change your relationship by being baptized into Christ Matthew 28:19, Galatians 3:26-27 • This is the beginning of a new life in Christ 2 Cor. 5:17, Ephesians 1:3
