Proposed Rule • Allow additional traps within the MPA’s • Weasel boxes with a hole opening of 1 3/8” or less • Will prevent entry of marten • Non-submersion foothold traps with a pan tension no less than 4 lbs. • This pan tension does not pose a threat of incidental capture of marten • Marten weigh about 2.5 lbs. maximum • Rule will allow additional trapping opportunities while protecting pine marten AGENDA ITEM 2.B.4, Scott Karel, Wildlife Regulation Policy Specialist
