Leadership continued: Wikipedia: Leadership has been described as a “process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task” “Somebody whom people follow, or as somebody who guides or directs others” “Organizing a group of people to achieve a common goal”
Leadership continued: Stephen R. Covey: “is communicating to people their worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves.”

As a Leader: Invest in your people Your staff needs someone to care about them for who they are That they matter That they make a difference

Lean In’s Lessons for Girls Bossy or executive leadership skills?? Parents need to commit small acts of assertiveness, develop this skill Educators need to observe the dynamics in a work group Girls should stop apologizing
50% Women are 50% of the population. It isn’t unreasonable to want them to have 50% of the leadership roles Women are now in powerful leadership positions but may still be referred to as ‘a female facilities management director’
