  2. Real Rainforest Facts 1. There are 3 distinct regions of rainforest. They are located in Latin America and Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. 2. 48% of rainforest lie in Latin America and the Caribbean most being in Brazil. 3.Tropical rainforest have 4 layers the forest floor, the understory, the canopy, and the emergent layer.

  4. Perfect Plant Facts • The plant you see is called mangrove. Mangroves grow in wet muddy soil at the waters edge. Mangroves pitch-fork like extensions grow from the trunk down into the ground trapping sediment wich stabilizes the tree. • This plant is called the strangler figg.

Toucans are related to the woodpecker and they nest in tree holes.

Bengal Tigers are the largest living member of the cat family. 4. Bengal Tigers are good swimmers and can run fast. 5. Bengal Tigers weigh 400 to 575 pounds and their roar can be herd around 2 miles away.

Sloths name came from its slow movements. 2.Sloths are plant eaters and are more active during the night but even then they are not very fast. 3.Sloths sleep during the day and spend 15 to 18 hours a day. 4.Sloths are hunted by jaguars, harpy eagles and people. 5.Sloths live 10-20 years in the wild.
