Spring Village Vision • An improved quality of life for individuals and families in a socially vibrant community that is closely interconnected to each other where each person’s value and importance is recognized and engaged as an integral contributing member of the community; where all are striving for towards achieving their highest potential while being equally concerned with the wellbeing and the maintenance of a clean and environmentally friendly space. The Way Forward • There has been numerous attempts at community development over the years. These developments have been supported by many groups and individuals such as the Development Foundation, Citizens Association, Church groups, Jamaica Broilers and community members Spring Village Development Foundation
Accomplishments and Achievements • Design, construct, and equip community with training centre • Establishment of computer lab at Spring Garden All Age School • Feeding and medical programme for the indigent • Establish community library Spring Village Development Foundation
Accomplishments and Achievements • Provide scholarships to dozens of GSAT and Tertiary students • Establish community library • Implement nationally recognized skills training programmes and community development activities with HEART/ Level 1 Skills training, Life Skills Spring Village Development Foundation

Strategic Direction To effectively realize the vision there will be of necessity the development of new policies and management practices to ensure that important facets of this planned development be balanced with equal weight being placed on both the structural and personal development objectives. Organization • The SVDF is directed by executive members who are elected at an annual general meeting. • The new dispensation demand that the Executive committee be trained in organizational, leadership, and sensitivity skills towards community issues including the development process. Management • The management team is expected to support and execute the daily operational strategies and programmes. • This team is comprised of a Development specialist, a programme Officer/principal, accountant, administrative assistant and sanitation/maintenance workers. Development Programmes:Spring Village Training Institue • Provides skills training and other personal development courses. • This is to be strengthened by ensuring programmes are relevant, credible and keeping with the development goals of the Foundation while responding to the developmental sustainability challenges of the organization itself Spring Village Development Foundation
Spring Enterprises • This will require sustained financial injection (Spring Spices, Spring Fashions, spring fencing, Spring Welding and Fabrication) and was conceived to generate income to underwrite costs associated with sanitation, maintenance, office and other supplies and utilities while providing employment for residents. • Spring Farms - a joint venture Spring Village Development Foundation
Social Outreach • This is to ensure that the needs of the needy especially the elderly, children, and the sick is attended to. • Other duties include coordination of health initiatives, food aid, and clothes distribution Spring Village Development Foundation
Youth Development, sports and culture • The focus will see to the education, engagement and empowerment of youths. Innovative strategies that will involve inculcating life skills, values and attitudes including cultural, etiquette and other relevant matters utilizing community sports and leagues as a vehicle Spring Village Development Foundation
Safety and Security • The SVDF is to strengthen its efforts in mobilizing and galvanizing community action to prepare for and respond to the event of the eventualities listed. The facility is designated as an “emergency shelter.” Emergency supplies such as food, water, and blankets are among the items to be sourced to help in time of need. Environment and Infrastructural development • Matters pertaining to solid waste storage and disposal must be addressed. The matter of repairs to roads must be kept on the fore front and the relevant authority lobbied for its improvement and maintenance. Spring Village Development Foundation
Property and Management This arm will now be responsible for the daily management of the training centre and for other community assets Spring Village Development Foundation
