Moses – The Prophet “A prophet was not necessarily a foreteller of future events, though that power was present if necessary, but he was a revealer, a discloser, an utterer of the divine mind to which man in a normal state of nature has no access. In this sense, Moses himself was a prophet, and the greatest among the prophets before Christ” Bro. Roberts, Ministry of the Prophets.

Moses - Communing with God “We do not know all that passed between God and Moses, and between Moses and God. This was the mount of angels and of fire, of darkness and cloud, of revelation and receiving. That which is revealed in the written record need not have taken forty days and nights. Indeed it was not necessary that Moses should ascend to receive it, had God wished to reveal it to him otherwise. But the forty days and nights were for worship and communion, for the enlarging of the borders of Moses’ mind to take in the greatness for the worship of God both in tabernacle and in heart”.
