  3. Local Sector in Richmond In excess of 800 voluntary sector organisations Greater numbers – i) Arts, Culture, Heritage, Sport ii) Health, Social Care Community Associations, Environment, Children and Young People DS

  4. Representation Influence policy and local campaigning Advice/Advocacy i.e. CAB/Richmond AID/Richmond Mencap Direct service provision i.e. neighbourhood care groups SC Voluntary Sector Functions

  5. RCVS is the lead infrastructure support body supporting voluntary and community organisations in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Our main role is to strengthen voluntary and community organisations in the borough by offering a range of services and support to organisations so that they, in turn, can deliver improved services to our local community. DS RCVS support to the sector

  6. General Volunteering: 1 coordinator and team of volunteers Specialised services for young people, people with disabilities and mental health problems Strategic development and promotion of volunteering within the borough Supports 300 organisations 2500 volunteer registrations in 2008/2009 KR About the Volunteer Centre

  7. Strategic Leads Organisations funded toact as the lead voluntary or community agency in its area of work. They include: Older People – Age Concern Physical Disabilities – Richmond AID Learning Disabilities – awaiting decision Carers – Crossroads and Richmond Carers Centre DS Local Co-ordinating Structures
