2004 - 2006: A basis on which to build International and inter-disciplinary interest in the topic: from biosecurity to biosafety International networks: ICSU, EU, WHO, OECD, BTWC Direct access to decisionmakers Recognition and authority: IAP as leading the voice of international science
2007 - 2008: Extension Information-exchange and policy learning platform for IAP member academies Regional events, incl the Alexandria Symposium International events, incl Como II Continued involvement in BTWC process Additional recommendations to be based on the outcomes of the biosecurity survey
