LPHI IT Preparations • We have purchased a set of offsite servers that we can use in an emergency. • These servers will give us access to the mail on the Exchange server as well as data on the L and O drives. • These servers will be activated if the building loses power and our primary servers are offline.
When will the emergency servers be available? • The emergency servers will be activated in the event of a disaster. • The emergency servers will NOT be activated for a standard evacuation. • Email access is still available through OWA (https://mail.lphi.org/exchange) • The emergency servers can be activated remotely.
Access to email will be continuous. Please use OWA just as you normally would any other time. Accessing your data requires a few more steps… You will need to connect to the offsite location using the provided VPN client. Email & data access
LPHI Staff Intranet • LPHI Support Site, a hub for information and resources. • Point your browser to: support.lphi.org • Log-in with your “LPHI” username and password. • If you have problems logging in, please contact IT Support.
LPHI Staff Intranet • Support Site Pages & Resources • Human Resources- View staff updates, download expense reports, fill out timesheets. • IT Resources- Upload files, download IT tools & software, view Emergency links. • Communications- View communications & PR updates, access CMS & web statistics. • Blog- Communicate with the staff, post ideas, collaborate online.

LPHI Staff Intranet • “Quicklinks” are in the very upper right hand corner. • First- “Outlook Web Access” Quicklink. If you forget the OWA link, or need a quick way to access your email. This link works inside and outsite the LPHI network. No need for memorizing two addresses. • Second- “Support Suite” Quicklink. Access to the Support Suite Ticketing & Knowledge Base system. • Other homepage features include: Latest News and Events and links to other resources and pages.
LPHI Staff Intranet • Intranet Improvements • Apart from all the new features we have added, we are working to continually adding new features and resources. • If you have any suggestions or feature improvements that you would like to see implemented, please let us know.
VPN Client • You will be able to download the VPN client from the support site (https://support.lphi.org) • Login using your domain username and password. • The VPN client package will be included with the file downloads under the IT resources section. • The software needed to map your L and O drives will be posted as well.
VPN Client Installation • Unzip the installation files. • Double click on the setup.exe file. • You must reboot the computer after the software has been installed. • That’s it!
VPN Client Usage • From the Start Menu, select Programs (All Programs), Cisco System VPN Client, VPN Client .
VPN Client Usage • Click on the connect button to initiate the connection.
VPN Client Usage • When prompted, enter your domain username and password.
VPN Client Usage • VPN will not connect if your access point does not support IPSec/UDP • T-Mobile Hotspots are supported • Default enabled on some home routers • If VPN doesn’t connect, try from another internet connection. • To access your L & O Drive, you will need to run the MapDrives script from the Support Site.
VPN Configuration • The VPN configuration profile is included in another download on the support site. • Included is the vpn connection profile and a script that will ask you for your name and password and map out your L and O drives. • After the installation is complete, you can run the MapDrives link after connecting to the VPN.
Access The L: Drive • To map the L drive, follow the same steps from above. The folder to map is \\lphi-fs2\data$.
