SRMS Hours of Operation Doors open at 8:15 am for students Classes begin at 8:30 am The school day ends at 3:18 pm After-school activities from 3:20 to 4:20 pm
Block Scheduling • 8 blocks total • 1-4 (A-day) • 5-8 (B-day) • D.E.A.R. • Language Arts every day • S.A.M.S. every other day for 30 to 45 min • Math, Science, Social Studies, Health/PE, Art/Keyboarding, and Music every other day • Each block is 90 minutes • Music block • 45 minutes music instruction • 45 minutes Resource time • 30 minutes for lunch

Report Cards &Interims • Report cards every 9 weeks • Interims halfway through each quarter • Must pass 3 of the 4 core subject areas (Math, English, Science, Social Studies) to be promoted to the next grade

SRMS Math • Courses currently offered: • Math 6 –Grade level math Topics: fraction and integer arithmetic & estimation, multi-step problem solving, solving linear equations, geometry, and applications of probability • Accelerated Math 6 and Math 7 - Algebra 1 Prep Topics: All of Math 6 topics will be covered in addition to: algebraic expressions, investigating linear relationships, solving multi-step equations & inequalities, and working with formulas
