Strategic Development of LLL Offers and Institutions in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine Dr. Hans Lundberg Chief Analyst, Tempus LeAGUe Organisational Aspects of the LLL Development Workshops to be held in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine September-October 2015
A value added event related to: • Work Package Number 4, Programme development • Work Package Number 3, Implementation of LLL strategies & policies in partners universities • Work Package Number 5, Pilot courses
An idea… • … originally by Marika Kapanadze and Georgian colleagues, that grew into something that can be done in all 3 AGU countries. • … that Lnu as project leader has decided to support and provide extra internal resources for. • … that is optional (= up to you) and demand driven (= within a content frame, each country choose what to focus on).
Content Frame Five broad and "big" topics have been requested: • Course management – administrative systems, financial management, etc. • Cooperation with private sector - designing and managing corporate LLL offers • Entrepreneurship in teaching • Teaching methods in adult learning • Course development - defining target audience needs and expectations, choosing appropriate teaching methods, duration, forms of interaction, evaluation mechanisms, match-making between labour market needs and LLL offers, etc. • If in need of prioritizing (highly probable!), I would prioritize 1, 2 and 5. • Please, feel free to propose other priorities. • Each country can make their own priority as long as it is within the content frame!
3-Day Format Day 1 – Thematic Day • Will be an open format where the number of participants only is limited to how big the venue you intend to use is. The scale of this is up to AGU-representatives to decide. • Overall, this should be an open, networking, dissemination and agenda setting day open for anyone interested in AGU. "National LLL Networking Day in A/G/U", sort of, to go as broad as possible. Invite TV, national newspapers, local newspapers, etc. • This day is suitable (if requested) for HL to hold a public lecture on entrepreneurship in research and education linked to LLL. • All costs associated with Day 1 (except for HL) are not covered by the Tempus budget. • All arranging responsibilities of Day 1 (inviting, booking, etc.) as well as content decisions is upon the local host.
3-Day Format Day 2-3 – Internal Workshops • Should be a closed format, workshops only open to individuals belonging to Tempus consortia member institutions. • Total amount of participants should be maximum 20, which means in average 4 persons per Tempus member institution. • Costs associated with this format are covered by the Tempus budget in line with the normal regulations for our meetings. • All arranging responsibilities of Day 2-3 (inviting, booking, etc.) is upon the local host. • All content responsibilities of Day 2-3 are upon Hans Lundberg (mainly) and Jan Aidemark, AGU Chairs and WP Leaders (partly).
